San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson has agreed to a four-year, $80 million contract extension, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The 22-year-old Johnson had a breakout third season in 2021-22 and established himself as a cornerstone piece for the Spurs, averaging 17.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 39.8 percent from the 3-point zone in 75 matches.

The small forward has NBA career averages of 14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over 161 games in all three seasons with the Spurs.

He was the 29th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Keldon Johnson is an Olympic gold medalist. Together with his current head coach in San Antonio, Gregg Popovich, he beat France in the final and topped Tokyo's podium last summer.
