The club initially announced it to be a three-year deal but it was later corrected.
"I was able to realize the beauty of this place with the sun. It was more what I expected especially after being in Russia. To see the beach, the sun, I think it's a good return to reality," Brown commented after joining the team.
"More seriously, from a basketball point of view, I joined Monaco because the project is ambitious, and the club gives itself the means to believe in it by putting in the necessary ingredients to achieve its objectives," he said.
The 30-year-old forward is coming off an outstanding EuroLeague rookie experience. He averaged 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 2.8 steals in 25 EuroLeague appearances for UNICS Kazan.
Brown set a single-game record in the EuroLeague with seven steals vs. the regular-season leaders FC Barcelona. Forward had seven games with at least five steals.
His highest-scoring game of the season was in Barcelona (21 PTS). He also hit the 20-point mark twice over Barcelona and the reigning champion Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
