Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz forward Simone Fontecchio is about to sign a two-year contract with the Utah Jazz according to Eurodevotion. BasketNews confirmed the information.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Jazz have agreed on a two-year, $6.25M deal with the Italian forward.

The 26-year-old will compete in the NBA for the first time in his career.

In the previous two seasons, Fontecchio played in the EuroLeague with ALBA Berlin and Baskonia.

Last season with Baskonia the 2.03-meters tall Italian had an outstanding personal season by averaging 11 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in the EuroLeague competition.
