After agreeing with the team and clearing waivers, Green intends to sign with the Warriors.
The Denver Nuggets and the Thunder struck a deal on draft night that sent Green and a protected 2027 first-round pick to the Thunder in exchange for the draft rights to No. 30 pick Peyton Watson to the Nuggets and two second-rounders (one in 2023 and one in 2024).
Following the trade, OKC general manager Sam Presti told reporters that the intention was to find a better fit for Green and that the team does not plan to keep the player.
After losing Nemanja Bjelica, who is set to join Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the EuroLeague, and Otto Porter, who departed the NBA champions for the Toronto Raptors, Green is being viewed as a capable replacement in the stretch four slot.
