Former Finals MVP of all three major European competitions, EuroLeague, EuroCup, and Basketball Champions League, Tyrese Rice is now playing in a specialized tournament in the USA.

Rice led his Gutter Cat Gang team with 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists to a 62-52 win against Team Arkansas. Rice's team will now compete in the quarterfinals in Wichita.

AX Armani Exchange Milan's center Kyle Hines was also registered for the match but did not step on the court. Former EuroLeague players in the likes of Jarell Eddie, Michael Roll, and Will Cherry are also part of the team.

In the three matches played for the club this season, Rice averages 14.3 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Hines hasn't appeared in a single game this season. He averaged 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 2 matches last year.

Rice has been playing in the tournament for multiple years. After a loss in his first season with Team Challenge ALS, the former EuroLeague great has been undefeated since 2021. He took the trophy last year with the Boeheim's Army team and still hasn't lost in 2022.

TBT is a 64-team, single-elimination tournament for a million dollars. Teams are split into 8 regions with 8 teams each. Those teams then play in a single-elimination bracket to narrow to contenders.

The winner of each region squares off in a quarterfinal showdown, followed by two semi-finals and the TBT 2022 Championship Game during Championship Weekend, July 29 – August 2.

At the end of the tournament, the sole remaining team takes the million-dollar prize. All it takes is to win six matches in a row.
