Umana Reyer Venice officially announced the addition of point guard Marco Spissu.

The 27-years-old playmaker returns to his homeland from UNICS Kazan, where he averaged 5.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 6.7 PIR over 25 EuroLeague games this past season.

He ranked second in three-point shooting (52.9% 3PT, 27-of-51), only trailing Rokas Jokubaitis of FC Barcelona (56.8% 3PT, 25-of-44).

Spissu left UNICS in early 2022 due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

It was his first EuroLeague season and now, Spissu is set to make his EuroCup debut.

Spissu was also a member of the Italian national team at the Tokyo Olympics last summer.

Spissu helped Virtus Bologna win the Italian second-division Cup as the MVP in 2017. Besides, he won the FIBA Europe Cup in 2019 with Dinamo Sassari.
