The Philadelphia 76ers free agent star James Harden is returning to the team on a new two-year, $68.6 million contract, including a player option for the 2023-24 season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The new deal guarantees Harden $33 million for the next season and the player option to decline his $35.6 million salary next summer.
In 21 games with the 76ers last season, after he got traded from the Brooklyn Nets, the 10-time NBA All-Star averaged 21.0 points, 10.5 assists, and 7.1 rebounds.
