Intuit Dome’s concrete frame construction has now been completed. Ballmer was joined by Intuit’s Director of Sponsorships, Danielle Roark, and Senator Steven Bradford, to place handprints in concrete to celebrate the milestone.
"I am incredibly excited about the building that we are building," Ballmer said. "For me, it has got to be a lot of things: wewant the comfort and convenience of home, but the energy, excitement, and enthusiasm of being able to smell the leather on the ball as it's moving around the court."
"The men and women that come in here every day have somehow made an open lot look [unbelievable], you can see the elements of our stadium, you can see the wall of sound," the Clippers owner continued. "Take a look at the taped out version of the court. The clubs are in place. Signs from the practice facility are going in. I think about all that progress in a year, it’s really unbelievable."
The arena is set to accommodate 18,000 people during basketball matches. In addition to hosting basketball games, the arena could be the site of 100 to 150 concerts, corporate gatherings and similar events each year.

The Intuit Dome will also include a practice facility, sports medicine clinic, team offices, retail space, and a large outdoor plaza with basketball courts that will be open to the public.
The new Clippers home will feature the basketball’s largest and most impressive LED display to date - a double-sided halo display that will provide the spectators with a 4K view of replays, individual stats, quarter breakdowns, and advanced metrics. According to the Clippers, it will feature more than 233 million LEDs.
"We have great folks who are out here every day. We’re appreciative," Ballmer said. "A lot of folks here are from the community, as well as around Southern California just doing phenomenal work."
Constucted in Inglewood, California, the Intuit Dome is set to open in 2024.
