Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams has agreed to a long-term contract extension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 50-year-old coach, who was also an NBA player from 1994 to 2003, has been a head coach for five seasons in the NBA before joining the Phoenix Suns in 2019.
Williams had a strong overall record of 149 wins and 78 losses in the past three seasons with the Suns.
First head coaching job in the NBA Williams landed in 2010, with the New Orleans Hornets, he remained as the head coach in New Orleans until 2015, when the franchise was already renamed to the Pelicans.
Last season the Suns were the number one seed in the Western Conference, however, in the playoffs, the Suns got eliminated by the Dallas Mavericks in seven games in the Conference semifinals.
