Larry Bird no longer has an active role within the Indiana Pacers franchise, according to Scott Agness of the Fieldhouse Files.

"Yeah, he's not active," Pritchard said. "But look, Larry [Bird] is a good friend of mine and he's a good friend of Ricks [Carlisle]."
Pricthard, however, said that this will not stop both the club and Bird from keeping in touch and collaborating again if needed.
"At any time we need help, we know where to look. He's always available," Pritchard explained.
Basketball Hall of Famer, Bird had an amazing 13-year career with the Boston Celtics and was a successful head and an executive for the Pacers organization.
Bird won the 1997-1998 Coach of the Year honors and led the Pacers to their first and only trip to the NBA Finals in 2000.
Bird as the Pacers' president of basketball operations constructed an Indiana team that went to back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals in 2013 and 2014.
The 3-time NBA champion as player Bird stepped down from his position in 2017 and transitioned to an advisory role.
