The 35-year-old Velickovic had two stops at Mega in his playing days (2013, 2014).

He pointed out that Mega have grown a lot since that time.

"First of all, I would like to thank Mega for the trust. I was a part of the club on two occasions when I had the opportunity to help Mega in its growth. The club has grown a lot since then. Everything is dedicated to the progress of young players who have great training conditions here," Velickovic said.

The Serbian forward announced his retirement last summer.

Velickovic started his playing career with Partizan Belgrade in 2004. The 2.05-meter big man led the team to two straight EuroLeague playoff appearances in 2008 and 2009.

After the latter season, Velickovic signed with Real Madrid. Later, he represented the aforementioned Mega, Brose Baskets, and Trabonzospor.

In 2015, Velickovic made his return to Partizan and spent his last six seasons with the team.

Velickovic has won numerous awards during his career, including the 2009 EuroLeague Rising Star trophy, 2009 Serbian Super League regular-season, playoffs, and finals MVP awards.

He has also raised three Adriatic League trophies, five Serbian League and Serbian Cup trophies, and the Spanish King's Cup.
