"The arrivals of Nando and Joffrey say a lot! It's the continuity of our project. We want to bring LDLC ASVEL as high as possible in Europe. Their experience will be extremely valuable in guiding this very ambitious group," said Tony Parker, President of the club.

Lauvergne was under contract with Zalgiris for another year, but both sides agreed to part ways. He became the Lithuanian League champion and won the Lithuanian Cup twice during his two-year tenure in Kaunas.

The 30-year-old center returns to France after ten years in various NBA and EuroLeague clubs.

He played professionally in Elan Chalon from 2009 to 2012 and won the French League before his departure.

Due to a shoulder injury, Lauvergne appeared in 13 EuroLeague games last season, averaging 8.3 points and 3.4 rebounds throughout 15 minutes.

ASVEL won the third straight French league title in June. This off-season, they have already signed Nando De Colo, Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Retin Obasohan, Jonah Mathews, Anthony Polite, and Yves Pons.
