The Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell expressed his opinion on Twitter, writing that the NBA has more athletes than basketball players.

Russell had a controversial message in a tweet he published on his personal account. The Timberwolves guard tweeted his opinion on Friday.

"The NBA is full of athletes and not basketball players ", Russel's tweet said, implying that the game now has players who rely on athleticism rather than basketball skills.

Last season the Timberwolves guard had one of his best seasons in the NBA, averaging 18.1 points, 7.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 32 minutes per game.
