Talking about the transfer with Noticias de Alava, Peters admitted that he did not expect to leave the Basque club during the offseason.

"The truth is that it was something unexpected for me. However, when these things happen you have no choice but to prepare for the next chapter," the player commented. "I went on vacation very relaxed thinking that I was going to stay in Vitoria for another season."

"I wish I could say more, but unfortunately, sometimes there are situations where we players have no choice but to assume that things are as they are," Peters continued. "People may have questions that can't be answered or that I'm not allowed to answer. We players have to adapt to these circumstances and continue on our way. It was unexpected, but I think in the end it was positive for all parties."

In the two years with Baskonia, Peters averaged 11 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists for 11.9 PIR in the EuroLeague while his numbers in the Spanish Liga Endesa were similar - 10.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists for 11.5 PIR.

in the season prior to Peters' arrival, Baskonia won the ACB title. However, the team hasn't managed to win any trophy since.

"From my point of view, it is difficult to say that the balance has been positive since we haven't managed to win anything - neither the ACB League, the Copa del Rey, nor even reach the EuroLeague playoffs," Peters noted. "It has been two years in which I have perhaps had success and good numbers in the individual section, but this game is not about that, it is a team sport."

"In that sense, I am somewhat disappointed in myself for not having been able to help the team achieve greater success. Leaving this aside, I have been delighted with Vitoria and its people, it is a fantastic place and it has been very comfortable for me and my family to live there," the player said, later singling out Rokas Giedraitis as a great friend on the team.

Peters will now be playing in Greece for a club that participated in the EuroLeague Final Four last season. Although the team ultimately remained fourth, the quarterfinal series against AS Monaco and the subsequent experience in Belgrade brought the club's fans to heights that were not seen for at least several years.

"Coach Georgios Bartzokas and the club have full confidence in the team's potential and we will try to build on the success they achieved last season. We have a great squad, with very experienced players, and the core of last season continues, which is very important," the player explained. "We will surely be in contention for the Final Four, and why not dream of winning the Euroleague?"
