Lakers president's Twitter account gets hacked, starts selling PS5's / News - Basketnews.com

The NBA free agency and the players' market have been slow in recent weeks. However, the same cannot be said about the Los Angeles Lakers president and co-owner Jeanie Buss.
Apparently, the woman's Twitter account was hacked last night. Late in the evening US time, a message was posted by the account that claimed that there were three PlayStation 5 gaming consoles to purchase directly from Buss herself.
The readers and followers were encouraged to send private messages to Buss in order to purchase one of three available consoles with a chance to attend Lakers games as a bonus prize. All proceeds are said to go to charities.
Later on, a new tweet inviting people to purchase the last remaining PS5 was added. Additionally, this last person was promised to be flown privately to meet the Lakers family.
As of the time of the writing, the tweets haven't been deleted yet.
This so-called scheme has been present in more accounts recently. WWE legend Mick Foley's Twitter account was hacked in the same way just days ago.
"I really feel for anyone who fell for that ploy with the PlayStation 5," Foley later announced in a video. "Please contact your bank, your credit card, and try to have that charge reversed."
