NBA champion Iman Shumpert was arrested on felony drug charges in Dallas/Forth Airport.
As TMZ Sports report, police said Shumpert was carrying 6.12 ounces (173.5 grams) of marijuana. The 32-year-old himself also admitted to having marijuana to the authorities.
Shumpert was planning to visit his daughter in Los Angeles but was not allowed to leave after being arrested for marijuana possession.
The charge is classified as a State Jail Felony, and Shumpert could face up to two years in prison and a $10 000 fine if found guilty.
According to the report, Shumpert was also carrying a Glock magazine and fourteen 9mm rounds. However, he didn't have a gun.
The last time Shumpert played was in the 2020-21 season when he averaged 1.0 points and 0.5 rebounds in two games with the Brooklyn Nets.
In total, Shumpert played 461 regular season games, averaging 7.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
