"He is an incredible expert. A book can be written about him. We all know what he did," Musa said about the coach, nicknamed Dule.
Vujosevic was the head coach during the summer of 2017 during the Qualifiers for EuroBasket 2017 and 2019 FIBA World Cup Pre-Qualifiers. Musa, then only 18, was taking his first steps as a young prospect in the national team.
"At 12 in the evening, physiotherapist Amer from the national team knocks on my door. Sleeping with Dule is the most important thing. I open the door and pretend to sleep. He says that Dule is calling me into the room," the player started the story.
"I get to the room, enter, and say 'here you go coach'. He looks at me and asks me: 'Are you unshaven?' I said yes. He then asks if I have a bib. I answer that I don't," Musa shared the details. "He says 'great, tomorrow at 7 am you're clean-shaven'. Coach, I don't have a razor, I say, and he says that's exactly the point."
Musa was left to scramble for a razor in a situation when not a single shop works. Ultimately, Musa was able to get the razor and shave off his beard.
"What am I going to do, I go from room to room, no one has a razor. I remember that the only kiosk is open at the end of town from 6 in the morning. I stood at 6 in the morning with my wallet in my hand to take that disposable razor," Musa remembers. "I came to breakfast all cut, blood was dripping on me. That was Dule. He is incredible."
Vujosevic coached the national team only for a very limited time as his coaching career was cut off by problems caused by diabetes. His last-coached club was U BT Cluj-Napoca. He's best-known for bringing Partizan Belgrade to EuroLeague Final Four in the 2008-09 season.
