The French national team opened their preparation games cycle by blowing out the Netherlands with the final score of 89-65 (25-20, 20-19, 26-12, 18-14) behind Evan Fournier and Rudy Gobert's performances.

France made a critical run in the third quarter to get away from their opponents and gained a 13-point (64-51) lead after Fournier's 3-pointer. After that Netherlands did not manage to make a comeback and French NT's advantage only increased for the rest of the game.

Gobert started the game strongly and over the first 8 minutes, he already had 8 points and 7 rebounds.

Despite the good start from Gobert, France couldn't build a more significant lead, mostly thanks to Yannick Franke's efforts, and was ahead by three points (21-18) with over a minute left in the first quarter.

Neither team managed to get away in the first half. The French national team went into the break with a 6-point advantage (45-39).

France was led by Evan Fournier, who had 15 points and 2 assists, Rudy Gobert added 12 points and 9 rebounds, and Vincent Poirier who had 11 points and 8 rebounds.

The Netherlands was led by Yannick Franke, who ended up with 21 points.
