Lithuania edges Estonia at home in friendly game / News - Basketnews.com

TheLithuanian NTdefeated theEstonian NTin a friendly game in Alytus, behind Ignas Brazdeikis' performance, with a final score of 90-88 (22-19, 23-16, 28-27, 17-26).

The resilient Estonians kept fighting for the entire game and kept the intrigue until the last minutes, despite Lithuania leading most of the game.

With four seconds left in the game, Kristian Kullamae hit a 3-pointer to leave Lithuania with just two points advantage (90-88), but after that Estonia did not manage to make a foul or get a steal and the game clock ran out.

Lukas Lekavicius made an important driving lay-up with 1:47 left in the fourth quarter to increase Lithuania's lead to nine points (87-78).

With 4:46 left in the final quarter Vene's jump shot closed the gap to just five points (79-74).

Lithuania was still leading in the entire third quarter, but Estonians were hard to shake, and after Kaspar Treier's 3-pointer with 3:40 left in the third, Estonia cut the deficit to seven points (63-56).

Lithuania had built a 15-point lead (42-27) in the second quarter after Ignas Brazdeikis' breakaway dunk with 1:55 left in the first half.

For the home team, Lithuania, Ignas Brazdeikis had 16 points (5/9 2PT, 1/4 3PT, 3/3 FT), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

For Estonia, Kristian Kullamae had 23 points (4/7 2PT, 5/8 3PT), 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
