In the summer of 2022, Serbian forward Vladimir Lucic was in demand, and despite the interest of four other EuroLeague teams, he re-signed with FC Bayern Munich on a long-term deal.

In recent years, Vladimir Lucic has linked his name with Bayern, playing in Bavaria since 2016. It is reasonable that he attracted the interest of several teams this past summer, as he proved to be a stable and successful player at the top European level.

In an interview with Sportklub, the 33-year-old revealed which EuroLeague teams were interested in him this summer.

"I had offers from Efes, Fenerbahce, Zenit, and Armani Milan," said Lucic.

No one contacted me directly. I believe they did not expect me to renew with Bayern Munich at that time," Lucic added.

"I didn't have any proposal from Partizan. Possibly, because at that time participation in the EuroLeague was not certain, while there were also some doubts about the budget," Serbian forward explained the situation.

"When I signed for Bayern Munich it was a big surprise for a lot of people," the veteran added.

In the end, Lucic signed his new contract until 2025 with Bayern, while making his own comment about Partizan Belgrade's return to the EuroLeague.

"Partizan has been deserving of playing in the EuroLeague for years," said Lucic.

"With the arrival of Zeljko Obradovic, the team and the budget have been reformed and I hope they make a good team and get good results," the Serbian continued.

"I'm happy they're back in the EuroLeague. They allowed where they deserve," Lucic concluded.
