The 2022-23 NBA season will begin with a game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers on October 18 at Chase Center, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

NBA sticks to its tradition, as the reigning champions open the following NBA season at home. GSW will receive their rings on opening night too.

Golden State opened last season against Los Angeles as well, winning the match 121-114 at Crypto.com Arena.

It's also known that the Lakers will play the Mavericks in Dallas on Christmas Day. The news was broken by an NBA insider Marc Stein.
