The Lithuanian Luka Doncic of women's basketball, Juste Jocyte, arranged an astonishing performance in the final to navigate her country to the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship 2022 golden accolades.

Two years younger than most of their opponents, the 16-year-old Jocyte registered 28 points (6/9 2PT, 0/2 3PT, 16/19 FT), 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 38 EFF in the grand final.

Lithuania won against Spain, 78-75 (16-15, 21-20, 19-18, 22-22), and captured the second gold in women's U18 basketball. The last one came in 2008.

Jocyte of Tony Parker's Lyon ASVEL women's club showed her class during the whole competition, averaging 19.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 2.1 steals, and 22.9 EFF over 29 minutes. She received the MVP of the tournament trophy after the final.

Elena Estevez led Spain in the ultimate match of the competition and later entered the all-tournament First Team.

In 33 minutes, she scored 36 points (9/14 2PT, 4/6 3PT, 6/8 FT), grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 2 assists, and collected 34 EFF.

This is the first medal of the Lithuanian girls' national team since 2019. At just 13 years old, Jocyte led the Lithuanian U16 women's NT to the silver medal during the 2019 FIBA U16 Women's European Championship in North Macedonia.

She was named to the All-Star Five after averaging 19.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in the tournament.

Behind such a performance, Jocyte was invited to the Lithuanian women's national basketball team.

Still being 13 years old, she made her debut in the primary women's squad during the EuroBasket Women 2019 qualification game and recorded 4 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists.

Lithuania: Juste Jocyte 28 (16/19 FT, 9 REB, 7 AST, 38 EFF), Ugne Sirtautaite 17 (8/11 2PT, 5 REB), Vilte Andrunaviciute 16 (4 REB), Gerda Raulusaityte 6 (7 REB).

Spain: Elena Estevez 36 (9/14 2PT, 5 REB, 34 EFF), Carla Brito 12 (6/9 2PT, 10 REB), Alicia Getino 6 (3/4 2PT).
