The young playmaker led Spain to a U20 European title in July, averaging 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.6 steals for 14.4 PIR while being two years younger than the competition.
Nunez is now training with the Spanish national team for the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and EuroBasket 2022. "Everything is going very fast but I try to enjoy this experience and get the best I can out of this," he said at the start of the camp.
Last season, Nunez was only an occasional player for Real Madrid. He played in just 10 EuroLeague games with an average playing time of under five minutes.
