"The captains have been determined. We will have two - Nemanja Bjelica and Vladimir Lucic. That is my wish and the wish of the players," Pesic revealed.
Journalists also asked the coach who will be the new leader of the Serbian national team.
"A leader is not created, not determined by the coach, the worst thing is when the coach determines. The leader depends on his playing abilities and on the support given to him by the environment," said Pesic.
"I would not declare anyone a leader. There is no need. No one can be completely replaced, as he cannot replace [Dejan] Bodiroga, Sasa Djorordevic, each of them carries some specificity, but time will tell," Pesic explained.
"We have players who are already established, who have won big games, who know how to bear the burden and pressure of the public, and also the obligation to their team," added the Serbian coach.
Given that Bjelica is currently injured, Lucic will lead the team as a captain in Slovenia on Wednesday.
