After a disappointing season both in the EuroLeague and the Greek Basketball League, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens are looking to get back into the European basketball elite.

Their new head coach Dejan Radonjic has already arrived in Athens for the preparation camp. Talking with the club's website, the Serbian specialist provided an update about the current state of the team.

"We've talked a lot with the people in the team since the day I signed. We analyzed what players we have and what players we need. We have created a new team with a lot of new faces and a lot of work will be required from us," the coach explained. "I think we need one more player. In the coming days, we will look to choose the most suitable one to make a really good move."

The Greek basketball giant has overhauled the roster this offseason. Marius Grigonis, Paris Lee, Nate Wolters, brothers Panagiotis and Georgios Kalaitzakis, Derrick Williams, Andrew Andrews, and Arturas Gudaitis have already been added to the roster this summer.

"To be competitive in the Euroleague we will have to be good on both sides of the pitch, both in defense and attack. I think we can do it," Radonjic said.
