The Miami Heat remains one of the most serious threats to land 2-time NBA champion Kevin Durant in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets.

The Heat may have to include Bam Adebayo as a last-ditch effort, but that definitely would give chances for the Heat, according to Shams Charania of The Atheltic and Stadium.

"The Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat remain among the most serious threats to land Durant because they have the types of pieces necessary to satisfy the Nets' asking price in a deal for the two-time NBA Finals MVP," Shams Charania reported.

According to the same report, the Toronto Raptors have refused to make Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes available, while the Celtics offered All-Star Jaylen Brown, guard Derrick White, and a first-round draft pick in July, but that wasn't enough for the Nets, which shows that asking price was really steep.

It was previously reported that Durant prefers the Celtics as his destination, which might increase the likelihood of the Celtics eventually getting the 12-time NBA All-Star.

The Memphis Grizzlies is another team that could land Durant. According to Shams Charania, the Grizzlies have made new inquiries to the Nets about their superstar. Grizzlies has five first-round draft picks available as well as young players like Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, Ziaire Williams, Brandon Clarke, Kennedy Chandler, and David Roddy, which could sweeten the deal.

6-time All-NBA first-team selection last season averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 55 regular-season games, however, the Nets were swept by the Celtics in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
