The American guard gave an interview to Gazzetta.gr, in which he talked about his goals with the team, Olympiacos fans, and impatience to start the new season.

"I am excited to have come to Olympiacos. It is the first time I will play in Greece and I am looking forward to this experience," Canaan began.

"I want to win the championship together with my teammates and the Olympiacos organization", the American added.

Canaan believes he can be a leader on the Olympiacos squad, but also fit with his new teammates.

"I spoke with coach [Georgios] Bartzokas, he told me a lot of things, what he expects from the team. He knows my strengths," Canaan revealed.

"I want to fit in with my teammates. I have high expectations and I want to help Olympiacos, to be a leader," said Canaan.

Even though Canaan is a 31-year-old veteran, he believes he still has a lot to prove in the highest tier of European club basketball.

"I will bring my passion and my hard work to every match. I'm competitive. I still have a lot to prove in the EuroLeague," said the American guard.

"I will play for a very good team that trusted me and I will try to make them happy," Canaan explained his motivation.

Lastly, Canaan gave a comment about the Olympiacos fans.

"I am looking forward to playing in front of a full stadium, in front of 12,000 people. To all Olympiacos fans, even outside of Greece, I can't wait to play for you," said Canann.

"Many people send me videos and show me their passion. I can't wait to be a part of something so special," Canaan concluded.
