As talks about the Donovan Mitchell trade continue, the New York Knicks were ready to part ways with Evan Fournier, Shams Charania from The Athletic reports.

According to Charania, Knicks recently made a trade offer to the Utah Jazz for Mitchell. The package included Fournier, Obi Toppin, additional salary, and two unprotected first-round draft picks (five total).

However, Jazz's asking price for Mitchell has been more significant than that and teams didn't reach an agreement.

In the 2020-21 season, Fournier averaged 14.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 80 games (all starts).

According to the report, the Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards are among the teams interested in Mitchell.

Mitchell, who spent all his career with the Jazz so far, still has 3 years left on his current deal. He averaged 25.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 67 games (all starts) last season.
