Sean Marks revealed the 12-time NBA All-Star Durant's decision on Tuesday.
"Steve Nash and I, together with Joe Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai, met with Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman in Los Angeles yesterday," wrote Marks.
"We have agreed to move forward with our partnership. We are focusing on basketball, with one collective goal in mind: build a lasting franchise to bring a championship to Brooklyn," the Nets general manager added.
Durant's teammate, Kyrie Irving has also decided this summer to stay with the Nets for the next season after changing his mind, as he has previously expressed a will to leave the organization.
The 33-year-old Durant still has a 4-year $192.4 million contract, which runs after the 2025-26 season.
Last season, the Nets superstar averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 55 regular-season games.
