With a busy offseason with multiple notable signings in the books, the Catalan powerhouse is now ready to start the preparation cycle. The team will undergo medical tests on Monday, August 29th, while the first practice session will be held on Tuesday, August 30th.
However, head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius will be able to count on only six first-team players from the start - Kyle Kuric, Cory Higgins, Alex Abrines, Oriol Paulí, Oscar Da Silva, and Sergi Martínez.
At the same time, Nikola Kalinic, Jan Vesely, Tomas Satoransky, Mike Tobey, Rokas Jokubaitis, Sertac Sanli, and Nicolas Laprovittola will join the team next month due to their participation in international tournaments. Nikola Mirotic, meanwhile, is recovering from an Achilles tendon injury he suffered earlier this summer.
Members of the reserve roster, Michel Caicedo, James Nnaji, Rafa Villar, and Martín Iglesias will help the team while the players are away. Youth players from the team's academy, Dayan Nessah, Dani Iruela, Kasparas Jakucionis, Dame Sarr, Pol Salo, and Andreas Holst, will join the sessions as well.
The week after the end of EuroBasket 2022, Barcelona will participate in the Catalan League tournament on September 20-21. After the local competition, the team will head to Sevilla to play in the Spanish Super Cup on September 24-25.
