Amidst uncertainty about the final roster for EuroBasket 2022, the Greek Basketball Federation announced an update about the team.

According to the official announcement, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, Ioannis Kouzeloglou, and Dimitris Kaklamanakis were cut after today's practice.

However, head coach Dimitris Itoudis is not entirely sure how his squad will look during the tournament as the statuses of Kostas Sloukas, Giorgios Papagiannis, Ioannis Papapetrou, and Kostas Antetokounmpo are still unknown.

"We are waiting for the update from the doctor to see how Sloukas, Antetokounmpo, Papagiannis, and Papapetrou are doing," Itoudis told the media in a sponsored event today. "We are waiting for the last practice to see who will travel, we will decide at the end of practice."

Although the federation announced the three departures from the team, no update about the four players was provided. Instead, the federation states that a separate announcement is coming later.

At that same event, one of the four, Ioannis Papapetrou, sounded confident he would be traveling to EuroBasket.

"I am very well. It was a strange injury and there was the fear of a recurrence and something worse and not being available for the tournament. I'm quite well, I'll start training today," he said before today's practice.

Currently, 14 players are remaining on the roster:

Nick Calathes Kostas Sloukas Tyler Dorey Giannoulis Larentzakis Michalis Lountzis Lefteris Bohoridis Giannis Antetokounmpo Kostas Papanikolaou Ioannis Papapetrou Thanasis Antetokounmpo Dimitris Agravanis Leonidas Kaselakis Giorgios Papagiannis Kostas Antetokounmpo.
