Partizan Belgrade will be back in the EuroLeague in the upcoming season and the preparations for the season have already started with team practices.

Head coach of Partizan Zeljko Obradovic is already working with the players in practices. In an interview for the club's television, Obradovic revealed how the preparation for the next season is going so far.

"The first week is over. We tried to do everything necessary. We have a couple of new players, we are working on the philosophy of the game both in defense and on offense," said Obradovic.

"We are going into details. The players are in good condition, which is positive. We will see the best picture of the work done so far through friendly matches. That's where things surface that need to be fixed," Obradovic continued.

The Serbian coach said that it's easier this season because he's more familiar with some of the players now than the last summer.

"Obviously, a year of work has left its mark. Some things are easy for the players, they remember everything we did," Obradovic explained.

"Of course, we lack some players, but the guys who are there are doing well. We have patience. We want everyone to understand how Partizan will play," added the coach.

Obradovic revealed that Aleksa Avramovic, who suffered an arm injury during a scrimmage with the national team is unlikely to be able to start the season with the team.

"The situation is such that neither Gregor Glas nor Aleksa Avramovic will probably be able to help us at the start of the season," said Obradovic.

"We have included Djordje Jovanovic to join us for now, as someone who is talented and will have the opportunity to impose himself in the matches and during the preparations and during the season," Obradovic revealed.

Obradovic is happy to give young players chances and said he will continue to do so.

"I'm not here to please anyone. I'm here to lead Partizan and to explain to the players what Partizan is and what is expected of them whenever they step on the floor. We will continue to give opportunities to young players," said the Serbian coach.

The legendary coach also emphasized the importance of the club working together and revealed he liked how Partizan operates as an organization.

"The coach can't do anything alone, I'm grateful to everyone. What I like most is that there is a dialogue and an exchange of opinions," said Obradovic.

"It's always important to me that I hear what others think. I want their help because that's the only way we can help the players on the floor who are the most important," explained Obradovic.

"I'm not someone who comes and says now I'm here, listen to what I say, and do it like that. I want to hear everyone's ideas and discuss everything," Obradovic concluded.
