For the first time in five years, the biggest basketball tournament in Europe is coming back to the television screens. 24 countries will battle it out to find out who the strongest nation currently is.

Tons of international basketball stars have arrived, including NBA MVPs Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic, a global phenomenon in Luka Doncic, EuroLeague MVP Vasilije Micic, NBA solid starters in Domantas Sabonis, Jonas Valanciunas, Jusuf Nurkic, Bojan Bogdanovic, NBA multiple-time DPOY Rudy Gobert.

EuroBasket 2022 is being regarded as one of the strongest, if not the strongest, in many years. A natural question arises then - where and how can you watch the games?

Almost all participating countries offer some kind of local broadcasting solution. Some nations will broadcast the matches on public and free television, and others have chosen to go the other route and will show the games on paid platforms and channels. Great Britain is the only country that does not offer such a solution. Instead, people are encouraged to subscribe to the official FIBA platform - Courtside 1891.

Only in select cases, all matches are being broadcast on a platform that holds the rights to show EuroBasket 2022. If your country falls under this category, basketball fans are encouraged to visit Courtside 1891 and choose one of the packages to watch all games live and/or on-demand.

Belgium

Belgium is one of the select few countries that are set to show only their national team's matches this September. The broadcasts are split between three channels. Voo Sport and two channels from another broadcaster - Een and Canvas - will share the viewers who are eager to watch their team fight in EuroBasket 2022.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina did not participate in the last EuroBasket back in 2017. This time, the country has received help from its two biggest stars Jusuf Nurkic and Dzanan Musa. The country's basketball fans should be delighted to know that they will be able to watch all EuroBasket 2022 games on SportKlub, which is offered by two main TV providers.

Bulgaria

Contrary to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgarian basketball fans will not have to pay a cent to watch their national team in EuroBasket 2022. BNT, the national broadcaster, has the right to show EuroBasket 2022 games in the country. All Bulgaria's matches will be shown as well as select other games.

Croatia

Croatia follows the route several other countries in Europe follow as well. The country's basketball fans will be able to watch all its national team's games free of charge on the public broadcaster (HRT), while select other games will be shown on a paid TV channel (SportKlub).

Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is the first country on this list to take the most conventional route here. While other countries' basketball fans often have to rely on paid channels and paid platforms to watch EuroBasket 2022, the Czech Republic offers all its country's national team's games and other select matches on the public broadcaster.

Estonia

The Baltic countries' basketball fans have it easy this summer. TV3 Sport channels group and their platform Go3 hold the rights to broadcast not only the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers games but all matches from EuroBasket 2022 as well. Each game will be broadcasted live and available on-demand.

Finland follows the route several other countries in Europe follow as well. The country's basketball fans will be able to watch all its national team's games free of charge on the public broadcaster (Yle TV), while select other games will be shown on a paid TV channel (V Sport).

France

France takes the most common route to offer its basketball fans a way to watch EuroBasket 2022. All France's games as well as select others will be shown on Canal+ platform and its Canal+ Sport 360 channel. If the French national team makes it to the semifinal, the matches will then be shown on M6 Sport.

Similar to France, Georgia also takes the most common route. However, all Georgian national team's matches as well as select others will shown on its public broadcaster's channel - First Channel.

Germany

Germany's basketball fans join their Baltic friends this September. All EuroBasket 2022 games will be broadcasted on the platform they already know and love. Similar to TV3 Sport in the Baltics, Magenta Sport holds TV rights to EuroLeague, World Cup Qualifiers, and EuroBasket 2022. All matches will be shown and available on-demand.

Great Britain

As mentioned before, Great Britain is the only country that does not offer such a solution. Instead, people are encouraged to subscribe to the official FIBA platform - Courtside 1891.

Greece

Greece takes the most common route as well and does it the Georgian way. Greek basketball fans will be able to watch Giannis Antetokounmpo lead the national team in EuroBasket 2022 on the public broadcaster's ERT1 and ERT3 channels. Some select other matches will be shown as well.

Hungary is one of the select few countries that are set to show only their national team's matches this September. M4 Sport holds the right to all Hungarian national team's games this September.

Israel is one more member of the most common route countries take this September. All Israel national team's matches will be broadcasted on privately-owned Sport5. Some select other matches from the tournament will be shown on the channel as well.

Italy

Known for its unique cultural and architectural monuments, Italy copies Israel this time. Equally to the counterpart in the East, Italian basketball fans will be able to watch all their favorite team's games on the privately-owned SkySport Arena channel. Some select other matches from the tournament will be shown on the channel as well.

Lithuania

The Baltic countries' basketball fans have it easy this summer. TV3 Sport channels group and their platform Go3 hold the rights to broadcast not only the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers games but all matches from EuroBasket 2022 as well. Each game will be broadcasted live and available on-demand.

Montenegro

Montenegro goes Greek. Or Georgian. In any case, all matches the Montenegrin national team will play in EuroBasket 2022 will be broadcasted free of charge on the public broadcaster (TVCG). The channel will also show some select other games as well.

Serbia follows the route several other countries in Europe follow as well. The country's basketball fans will be able to watch all its national team's games free of charge on the public broadcaster (RTS), while select other games will be shown on a paid TV channel (SportKlub).

Slovenia

Slovenia offers a similar model to Croatia, Finland, and Serbia but the separation is done between two channels of that same paid TV broadcaster. All Slovenia's matches will be shown on POP TV, while select other matches will be broadcasted on its sister channel Kanal A.

Spain

EuroBasket 2022 games in Spain will be broadcasted in two ways. As it is with a considerable amount of nations on this list, the country's national team's games will be shown on one channel (Cuatro) and select others will be broadcasted on another (Be Mad TV). However, both channels are free, which is different to other cases.

Turkey

Turkey offers a similar model to Croatia, Finland, and Serbia where matches of the country's national team will be broadcasted on one platform and some select other games on another. However, contrary to the Slovenian case, the two channels do not come from the same channel group. All Turkish national team's matches will be shown on NTV, while select other games will be broadcasted on S Sport channels.

Ukraine

Amid the Russia-caused war in Ukraine. the country's basketball fans will still be able to watch EuroBasket 2022 where their national team will battle for the pride of the yellow-and-blue flag. X Sport will broadcast all matches of the Ukrainian basketball team as well as select other games from the tournament.

USA

You might be guessing what the USA is doing here, and you might be right. The US does not participate in the tournament but its basketball fans will also be able to enjoy the tournament where some of the very biggest stars of the NBA will play. The country's sports giant ESPN and its paid platform ESPN+ will feature every match of the tournament. The matches are later available on-demand.
