Nemanja Bjelica will not participate in EuroBasket 2022. He hasn't been able to fully recover from a calf injury. Nemanja Nedovic has fully healed while Nikola Milutinov is currently suffering from a virus.

The head coach of the Serbian national team, Svetislav Pesic, has announced the final 12-man roster for EuroBasket 2022.

Most notably, Nemanja Bjelica has been left out of the squad. Although it was hoped that the experienced forward would be able to come back for the major tournament, the rehabilitation process was not able to be completed as quickly.

According to the official announcement, Bjelica did not fully return to the training process after injuring his right calf and is currently unable to reach the level of physical fitness required for EuroBasket in a short period of time.

Nemanja Nedovic, who also dealed with an injury during the last several weeks, has been included in the roster and has been practicing fully recently.

Nikola Milutinov, on the other hand, has been suffering from a virus for the last two days and has been advised to rest but his participation in the tournament is currently not in question.

Serbia will battle in Group D with Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Israel, and the Netherlands, with whom their first match is scheduled on Friday, September 2nd, at 21:00 CET.
