The game was close throughout the entire first half. Although Hungary held a slight lead after the first 10 minutes and into the second quarter (29-22), the Bosnians battled back and tied the game with 3 minutes left in the first half (36-36).

The third quarter belonged to the Bosnian national team. With the score tied at 56, the Jusuf Nurkic-led squad went on a 14-3 run to gain a solid 11-point lead (70-59).

Although Hungary tried to mount a comeback and even narrowed their deficit to just 3 points with 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter (76-73), the duo of Jusuf Nurkic and Dzanan Musa was too much.

Nurkic forced foul after foul, Musa made plays on both ends of the court while Miralem Halilovic proved himself as a valuable third option, and Bosnia ultimately captured an important win to start the tournament.

Dzanan Musa led the Bosnians with 19 points on 6-for-12 shooting. He also grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 6 assists for 25 PIR. Jusuf Nurkic contributed with 19 points as well. Although he collected 3 personal fouls in the first half, the center finished the match without getting in trouble, while also grabbing 4 rebounds and making 3 assists.

Szilard Bene was the top-scorer on the Hungarian roster with 20 points on 8-for-11 shooting and dished out 6 assists for 29 PIR.
