With the victory over Belgium, Turkey punched its tickets to EuroBasket 2022 playoffs in Berlin.

However, before Turkey's matchup against Belgium, FIBA dismissed TBF's protest regarding the lost 22 seconds. After seeing such a decision, head coach Ergin Ataman questioned the point of filling protests.

"I don't want to [repeat] myself again," Ataman said. "FIBA took some decisions in the Lithuania-Germany game, our game as well. There are many mistakes on the court from the referees. It's very questionable why they are writing the rules. Why are we protesting? We never complain about anything."

"We'll show everything on the court. Tonight we showed our potential on the court, and they'll see our potential in Germany," Ataman added.

With the victory against Belgium, Turkey qualified for the EuroBasket playoffs, which will take place in Berlin. Asked whether his team will feel like the host country, Ataman didn't hide his confidence.

"For sure," Ataman began his answer to BasketNews. "Berlin is one of our cities. It's a Turkish city. I believe there live 3-4 million Turkish people. We'll play our first game [of the playoffs] on September 10."

"I'm calling them to start to buy the tickets, and we'll have a home-court [advantage] in Berlin," Ataman added.
