"As the Turkish Basketball Federation, we condemn the decision to reject the objection of the rule error we made at the end of the match for the 22-second lost time," the official statement reads. "We do not accept this decision of FIBA which rejected the objection."
"We will seek all our rights regarding the decision taken at the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)," the federation continues. "We think that European basketball will deteriorate from its current position if FIBA, which has a say in the management of basketball in Europe, does not create a fair management climate."
FIBA ruled that despite the error in timekeeping, the Turkish national team did not provide enough evidence to prove that it would have changed the outcome of the game.
During the game, Furkan Korkmaz was attacked by three Georgian players and two Georgian guards while going to the locker room. FIBA is still investigating the incident. TBF has said to withdraw from the tournament if the footage of the incident is not released.
