The Spanish national team won the first half by 22 points on the way to comfortably beating Montenegro.

Spain (3-1) dominated in the first half against Montenegro (2-2) 82-65 (27-17, 26-14, 14-17, 15-17) to take first place in Group A.

Although the beginning of the game was pretty close (11-13), Spain closed out the first quarter strong and already led by 10 (27-17).

The second quarter was no different. Spain continued to dominate on the offensive end of the ball with multiple players scoring possession after possession. Following the first half, the favorites already held a 22-point lead (53-31).

The second half was just a formality as Spain captured its third win in four matches. The win propels Spain into first place in Group A. The winner of the group will be decided tomorrow as the Spanish national team meets Turkey.

All 12 registered players appeared on the court for Spain, and only Rodolfo Fernandez and Joel Parra did not score a point. Dario Brizuela was the leading scorer with 18 points on a 6-for-15 shooting.

Willy Hernangomez added a solid double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Vladimir Mihailovic led the Montenegrin national team with 18 points on efficient 6-for-9 shooting.
