With 38.6 seconds to go in the second quarter, Vincent Poirier accidentally elbowed Doncic, who went down on the floor.
Doncic stood up with his head bloodied. Soon he laid down on the floor again due to the pain.
Slovenian national staff took him to the locker room.
Doncic scored 27 of the first 36 Slovenian points against France.
