The final matches in Groups A and B have decided the first four pairs in the EuroBasket 2022 playoffs.
After a convincing win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania clinched the last playoff spot in Group B. With two games left in the group, the Lithuanians did not know whether they could decide their own fate but France's win against the Bosnians let the Baltic national team earn the spot themselves.
Lithuania will now meet Group A winner Spain, who they beat twice during the preparatory phase, once in Spain and once at home.
Meanwhile, France went down against Slovenia in a game marked by a historic performance from Luka Doncic. The Dallas Mavericks superstar scored 47 points, placing himself in second place on the all-time EuroBasket single-game scoring list.
After the loss, France guaranteed themselves a third place in Group B and a matchup against Turkey in the Round of 16. There is some uncertainty on the Turkish roster as Shane Larkin has sustained an injury and his appearance in the playoffs is currently not clear.
In Group A, Montenegro defeated Georgia on the final day of the tournament to deny the host team a playoff spot. With a third-place finish in the group, Montenegro will now face Germany, whose last game against Hungary does not have any meaning on the final order of the teams in the group.
Finally, Luka Doncic's Slovenia will square off against Belgium in the Round of 16. Belgium defeated Bulgaria earlier in the day, denying them a chance to play in the next round.
