Head coach Svetislav Pesic's roster will not be full, though, as Nemanja Nedovic is battling a calf injury. While other members of the squad arrived in Berlin on Friday, the newly-signed Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade guard flew to Madrid to undergo treatment for an injured calf muscle.

The guard is dealing with a superficial muscle rupture in his calf. While in Madrid, Nedovic went to a consultation with a specialist in hopes of speeding up recovery through specific therapy.

The hope in the Serbian national team is that Nedovic might be able to come back and play before the EuroBasket 2022 ends. According to Mozzart Sport, the player is expected to fly to Berlin today and rejoin the team where he will continue the recovery process.

Nedovic was injured during the second quarter of the group stage match against Israel. As teams are not allowed to register more than 12 players for the tournament, the Serbian national team has been competing with 11 men on the roster ever since Nedovic went down with an injury.

Serbia will once again rely on 11 players in the match against Italy on Sunday. The matchup is scheduled at 18:00 CET.
