Zoran Dragic will miss the remainder of EuroBasket 2022 with a torn part of his quadriceps muscle, via the Slovenian Basketball Federation.

The 33-year-old will be out of action from six to eight weeks due to an injury that he sustained in the Round of 16 game against Belgium.

"Obviously, I am not destined to be able to help the national team in the decisive EuroBasket battles. But that's the unpredictability of sports. I will help my teammates from the bench, encourage them loudly and thereby add positive energy, which we will still need in the following days.

I believe that our guys will come together even more, leave their hearts on the court, and in the end, we will look forward to the good result that we all want so much. I am already starting rehabilitation. Both in the national team and in the club, we have an excellent medical, physiotherapist, and coaching service," Dragic told the federation website.

Slovenia's next opponent is Poland in the EuroBasket quarterfinals. The game is scheduled for Wednesday (September 14) at 20:30 CEST.
