Durant is a 2-time NBA champion, winning both of his titles with Curry and the Warriors in 2017 and 2018. After leaving the Warriors, he joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019.

When Curry got asked about what he thinks of Durant joining the Warriors again, 4-time NBA champion Curry explained that he would like that.

"I was never hesitant. The idea of playing with KD [Kevin Durant] and knowing who he is as a person, from our history in those three years, I think KD's a really good dude," said Curry.

In addition, Curry explained why Durant might be misunderstood by many.

"I think he is misunderstood. I think he has had certain things happen in his life that hurt his ability to trust people around him, in a sense of making him feel safe at all times," said Curry.

"So all of those things, I understand, having played with him and gotten to know him. I love that dude," Curry added.

"And if you said, 'Oh, KD's coming back, and we're gonna play with him,' I'd be like, 'Hell, yeah!'," said the 2-time NBA MVP.

However, Curry is content with the current roster that the Warriors have as it was good enough to win the NBA title this past season.

"I had so much fun playing with him [Durant] those three years. But you also understand, like, if we run this thing back, I've got complete confidence in my team that we can win it again, as constructed," Curry explained.

This past summer Durant requested to be traded from the Nets, but eventually, after the Nets were not able to find the value they wanted for him, Durant agreed to stay with the franchise.
