After a disappointing Croatian national team's performance in the EuroBasket 2022, Croatian Basketball Federation president Stojan Vrankovic has resigned.

Croatian national team's head coach Damir Mulaomerovic announced his departure from the national team after the defeat, and on Monday morning September 12, Stojan Vrankovic resigned as president of the Croatian Basketball Federation.
The former Croatian national team's center ended his six-year tenure as the head of the federation and took responsibility for the team's poor performance in the EuroBasket.
"After Croatia's last EuroBasket match, I decided to resign as president of the Croatian Basketball Federation, taking responsibility for the failure," said Vrankovic in Croatian Basketball Federation's press release.
"I feel sorry for the fans who give their full support to this team. At the moment I can't find any solutions that would improve the situation," Vrankovic continued.
"Finally, I want to thank all the players for their participation in the national team and the effort they put in, as well as the coaching staff and the medical team. I also thank the employees of the federation for their support over the past six years," Vrankovic concluded.
