Germany advanced to the EuroBasket 2022 semifinals, where they will meet Spain on Friday.

In 30 minutes of play, Antetokounmpo finished the game with 31 points (12/17 2PT, 1/5 3PT, 4/8 FT), 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, 5 turnovers, and 31 EFF.

German star accumulated 26 points (5/9 2PT, 3/6 3PT, 7/7 FT), 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 4 turnovers, 1 steal, and 27 EFF.

Both national teams were trading buckets, with Germany holding game reigns in their hands. Franz Wagner scored a couple of baskets in a row, and Germany had plus 16 with 5:30 to go in the fourth (96-80). The remaining time of the match was a mere formality.

Although Germany drained 7 threes in the first six minutes of the game and created an early 11-point lead (22-11), Giannis Antetokoumpo responded with a monstrous performance, delivering 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists over eight minutes. Greece trailed 27-31 after the first period.

Greece found an X-factor in Giannoulis Larentzakis in the second tally. Olympiacos player provided 8 points, Giannis had 6, and Greeks took initiative to their hands despite Andreas Obst-Dennis Schroder duo, who combined for 29 at halftime.

Kostas Sloukas put a cherry on top of the successful Greeks' second quarter, draining a mid-court three at the buzzer.

The trio of Obst, Wagner, and Schroder inspired Germany to a huge 20-1 push at the start of the third quarter. Germans made five three-pointers in this stretch and created a solid 15-point lead (77-62).

Greece couldn't make a single field goal for almost 8 minutes. Giannis terminated the silence with a three-point bucket. He added a couple of straight duos, but the Greeks were still trailing by double-digits before the last tally (71-83).
