After a seismic first day of EuroBasket 2022 quarterfinals yesterday, four more teams return to try and take a ticket to the semifinal round of the tournament.

In the first match of the day, France takes on Italy (17:15 CET). It will be the fourth quarterfinal appearance in EuroBasket for Italy in a row but neither of the previous three times did the country advance further.

France comes into the matchup after making an unbelievable comeback in the Round of 16 against Turkey and snatching an almost-guaranteed win away from Ergin Ataman's squad.

Italy, on the other hand, was the story of the weekend after decisively eliminating the tournament-favorite Serbia. Following the performance, Nicolo Melli, who successfully battled against Nikola Jokic, received tremendous praise from head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco.
