However, Andreas Obst made his fifth three-pointer of the match to narrow the deficit to five (88-83), forcing Sergio Scariolo to take a timeout. Although Willy Hernangomez made both free throws, Maodo Lo hit a corner triple to narrow the deficit to four (86-90).
However, it was not enough as the Spanish converted all their free throws and there wasn't enough time for the Germans to successfully eliminate the deficit.
Dennis Schroder scored 30 points on efficient 11-for-17 shooting (8/10 2PT, 3/7 3PT, 5/5 FT) while also adding 8 rebounds but it was ultimately not enough to bring his country to the EuroBasket final.
On the other side of the court, Lorenzo Brown added 29 points on 11-for-17 shooting as well with 6 assists in his tally.
It will be the fourth EuroBasket final for Spain in the last six tournaments while Germany will play in the third-place EuroBasket game for the second time in the country's basketball history. Germany had previously advanced to the semifinal round three times and went on to play in the final twice.
Spain will meet France in the final on Sunday while Germany will battle against Poland in the third-place contest.
