Credit: mondo.rs Credit mondo.rsMiroslav Raduljica had the opportunity to return to the EuroLeague after a five-season break but decided to dive into the adventure he had dreamed of since childhood.
Mondo.rs reported that Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade had submitted an offer to Raduljica this off-season, but the basketball player rejected it and will be engaged in unusual activities in the coming months.
The Serbian big man, who isn't under contract with any team right now, will be participating in an incredible journey through the USA.
The former NBA and EuroLeague center will be part of the caravan with the members of YU Grupa – a Serbian rock band. The latter band is credited with being the longest-lasting Serbian rock band.
A guitarist, Zika Jelic, announced that Raduljica will be driving his camper from one USA end to the other as a part of the crew. They will drive the legendary Route 66, connecting Chicago and Los Angeles.
"We will go at the end of September with a few other friends. Among them is a basketball player Miroslav Raduljica, who has the special task of driving a large camper.
As a boy, Raduljica had a great desire to drive a truck, so his dream will be partly fulfilled. A few of us will drive motorcycles, but not every day because the trip is tiring," Jelic told Nedeljnik.rs ahead of the journey.
The 2.13-meter Raduljica last played in the EuroLeague throughout the 2016-17 season when he represented Armani Exchange Milan.
The 34-year-old veteran competed in South Korea last season but has been without a club since December.
During his career, Raduljica also had a brief stint in the NBA, playing for the Milwaukee Bucks (2013-14) and Minnesota Timberwolves (2015). The Serbian athlete has NBA career averages of 3.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 53 duels.
Miroslav Raduljica has reached successful results with the Serbian national team. In total, he won 3 silver medals in EuroBasket 2009, World Cup 2014, and Olympics 2016.
