"Your saying he should've been MVP?" Darrun Hilliard replied to the claim that Brown was robbed of the MVP title.

"100%," FC Bayern Munich's forward Augustine Rubit responded.

"Lorenzo Brown definitely should have been MVP of EuroBasket," tweeted the former Panathinaikos and Maccabi Tel Aviv guard David Logan.

In a victorious EuroBasket final against France, Brown finished the game with 11 points and 10 assists, becoming the first player with a double-double with points and assists in EuroBasket final since 1995.

Throughout the whole tournament, Brown averaged 15.4 points, 7.1 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 15.3 EFF.

In playoffs, his numbers were even better – 22.8 points and 8.3 assists.

For comparison, Hernangomez accumulated 14 points (5/14 2PT, 4/6 FT), 8 rebounds, and 10 EFF against France.

He finished the tournament with averages of 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 19.0 EFF.

Meanwhile, others also shared the thoughts that people who were against Brown's naturalization shouldn't celebrate the title.

"The same people that were mad Lorenzo Brown was nationalized in Spain, please don't cheer and praise for him now," tweeted Dylan Ennis. "Don't go switching sides when it's beneficial…"

"I have a good question," Alex Renfroe wrote. "I'm interested to know because of the things I read. The people that were upset about Brown getting the Spanish passport… Do you still celebrate the Gold?"
