Lorenzo Brown didn't understand why he was criticized so much after obtaining Spanish citizenship because he thought that we're all brothers and humans at the end of the day.

"I'll call you back, I'll call you back!" he was shouting to somebody.
The international media wanted to get him for the interview after this crazy summer.
Joel Parra ran into Brown, looked at the phone, and celebrated together.
On the other end of the phone was Lorenzo Brown's family, celebrating EuroBasket 2022 gold medal together. Spain just became the European champions after defeating France88-76.
"Who are you talking to now?" BasketNews asked Lorenzo Brown.
He showed the screen with people celebrating.
"This is my family out there," Lorenzo smiled with pride.
"Do they realize you're European champion?" the colleague from Sport24 Alexandros Trigas asked.
"They have," Lorenzo smiled.
He was crucial for Spain. Brown became the first player who got a double-double in points and assists (11 PTS, 10 AST) in the EuroBasket gold medal game.
Brown averaged 22.8 points and 8.3 assists in the knockout stage before the EuroBasket final, helping to overcome double-digit deficits for Spain in all three games.
For many, this Spanish national team gold medal run was surprising. But Lorenzo Brown had it on his target the first time he committed to Sergio Scariolo's team.
"Yes, that was my first objective right there. And we did it. I faced a lot of criticism for who knows what. But I feel like it's a language barrier or country... I don't know what was going on, but at the end of the day, we speak the same language out there on the court. It doesn't matter what color you're or where you're from, we're all brothers and humans. That speaks for itself right there, winning this gold medal."

We heard a lot about how special this group was. But could you also give credit to the coaching staff that managed to put all these pieces together? The coaching staff was amazing. The game plan they put together for each battle we faced... It was the right fit for all of us.
We weren't the biggest team. We weren't the most talented team. But teamwork at the end of the day always wins.
Guts... These guys have known each other since they were young boys. For them to allow me to come here and play my game and do what I do... These coaches as well... It is an amazing feeling.
What did you learn about leadership from Rudy Fernandez during this national team campaign?Everything. He played through injury. He spoke up for everybody when he needed.
He was also there on the court, knocking out big threes and diving on the court. That showed so much leadership at the age of 37.
He loves his country so much that he sacrifices his body just to win this gold medal. I'm very, very proud to be a part of what he has done so far.
What Usman told you, as he just mentioned passing us now?He told us that we were going to win. He didn't have a doubt.
After watching The Hustle, who would you say is better: Bo Cruz or Juancho Hernanomez? It's a tie. That is his alter ego, Bo Cruz, and he brought him out tonight. You see what he can do.
